Description
Celery, Umbelliferae, alias celery, parsley. It is one of the vegetables commonly eaten by Chinese people. The root system of celery is shallow, which is generally distributed in the soil layer of 7~36cm, but most of the root groups are distributed in the surface soil layer of 7~10cm. Due to the shallow root distribution, celery is not drought tolerant. The main root system of direct seeding celery is more developed, and the transplanted celery is suitable for seedling transplanting or soilless culture because the main root is cut off and the lateral root is developed.
